This will be the first Premier League meeting between these sides. They last faced each other in the top flight in February 1976, with Burnley winning 3-1 at Turf Moor.

This will be Sheffield United’s 10th match when they’re starting in the top half of the Premier League table, with six coming this season. They have failed to win any of the previous nine.

Blades forward Lys Mousset has scored with three of his last four shots, having found the net with just three of his previous 39 in the competition.

Since the start of last season Burnley’s Dwight McNeil has been involved in 12 goals, at least four more than any other teenager in the competition, scoring four and assisting eight.
