The Fantasy Premier League experts will field an unchanged FPL Experts Panel Team in Gameweek 8.

Despite having doubts over the fitness of Kevin De Bruyne (£10.0m), they have chosen to save a transfer ahead of Saturday's 11:30 BST deadline.

This will give the experts two free transfers to use in Gameweek 9, allowing them to deal with any potential injuries that may occur over the international break.

Ten of the experts' starting XI have home matches in Gameweek 8, Lucas Digne (£6.0m) the exception as Everton visit Burnley.

After back-to-back blanks, Norwich City pair Teemu Pukki (£7.2m) and Todd Cantwell (£5.0m) can rediscover their form.

The Canaries host an Aston Villa side who have conceded 121 shots this season. Only Arsenal have been more generous, conceding 126 shots.

Pukki has returned double-figure hauls in each of his three home matches, while Cantwell's two goals and two assists have all come at Carrow Road.

Captain Sterling

Raheem Sterling (£12.1m) will be the experts' captain for the fifth time in six Gameweeks.

The 24-year-old has scored in his last three appearances in all competitions. On Tuesday, the Manchester City winger broke the deadlock when he came on as a second-half substitute against Dinamo Zagreb in the UEFA Champions League, scoring and assisting in a 2-0 win.

This follows goals against Everton in Gameweek 7 and against Preston North End in the Carabao Cup.

Mohamed Salah (£12.5m) is the vice-captain for Liverpool's home match with Leicester City.

He has scored in all three of his fixtures at Anfield in 2019/20 FPL, totalling four goals and 36 points.

John Lundstram (£4.5m) is the experts' first substitute and will come off the bench if De Bruyne fails to feature at home against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

What the experts say

Holly Shand (@FFCommunity_): With the international break looming, it's wise to roll a transfer going into it, giving more flexibility afterwards. It tends to be a busy time for injuries.

Ash (@FPLHints): There's no denying that our squad could do with a bit of TLC. But with the international break around the corner, it makes sense to hold and strike with an overhaul later in October.

Paul Gee (@FPLPaulGee): With the likes of Man City, Liverpool and Norwich all having good fixtures, it would be wise to hold and maybe do a mini-Wildcard after the international break.

Sam Bonfield (@FPLFamily): Saving a transfer means we can assess the team as a whole during the break, ready for Gameweek 9. With most of the team playing at home this week they look a good bet to score points.

Ben McNair (@drbenmcnair): We have a great captain this week in Sterling and it looks like we'll be able to field 11 starters. So, although we could really do with a couple of new strikers, it would require a points hit that would be unlikely to pay off. So the safest route is to roll the free transfer and restructure after the international break.

Mark McGettigan (@FPLGeneral): I always try to bank a second transfer going into the international break. Surgery will be required afterwards, which will be a lot easier to perform with two frees.
