Two goals from Mohamed Salah helped Liverpool maintain their perfect start to the season with a 3-1 win over Arsenal at Anfield.
Joel Matip’s header from Trent Alexander-Arnold’s corner set them on their way just before half-time.
Liverpool doubled their lead three minutes after the break when Mohamed Salah was pulled back by David Luiz in the area and Salah converted the spot-kick.
The Egyptian scored his second on 59 minutes when he beat David Luiz near the halfway line and advanced to score.
Nicolas Pepe and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang both passed up early goalscoring chances for Arsenal, who did reduce the deficit on 85 minutes through Lucas Torreira.
Liverpool equalled a club-record winning streak of 12 league matches to go top with nine points from three matches.
