Blackburn Rovers boosted their chances of securing safety in Premier League 2 Division 1 with a 3-0 victory at relegation rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
Rovers were 2-0 up after 14 minutes at Stevenage’s Lamex Stadium, with Jack Vale opening the scoring before Daniel Butterworth converted a penalty.
Joe Rankin-Costello wrapped up the win after being teed up by Butterworth late on.
Blackburn remain ninth but have moved three points clear of the two-team relegation zone with two matches to play, while Spurs lie second-bottom on goal difference behind West Ham United.
