Over 200 people braved wintery conditions for Huddersfield Town Foundation's second Big Sleep Out event last week, raising money for local initiatives helping the homeless.
Those involved slept on cardboard between rows of seats or on the concourse at the John Smith’s Stadium the night before the Premier League match against AFC Bournemouth.
Community spirit
Town Foundation CEO, Siobhan Atkinson, praised the dedication of Big Sleep Out participants who have raised over £40,000 so far.
"Football clubs are like families; Huddersfield Town are no different," Atkinson said. "All the people here showed their compassion for people less fortunate than themselves.
"That they are prepared to undertake sleeping out for one night shows great kindness and the monies raised will help immensely."
