Barclays Manager of the Season shortlist

Thomas Frank (Brentford)

Now in his fourth Premier League season, Frank has Brentford flying high and on course for a highest-ever finish of eighth place, and possible European qualification for the first time in the club's history. Frank's team are the joint-fifth highest scorers in the competition, netting 63 goals, despite losing star striker Ivan Toney in the summer transfer window.

Eddie Howe (Newcastle United)

Howe's side have already surpassed their points tally from last season as Newcastle remain firmly in the hunt for second spot and UEFA Champions League qualification. Howe has masterminded some notable victories over the likes of Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest, Arsenal and, most recently, Chelsea, with Newcastle looking to match their best-ever finishing position in the Premier League of runners-up, achieved in 1995/96 and 1996/97.

Nuno Espirito Santo (Nottingham Forest)

Nuno has orchestrated a remarkable turnaround since taking charge at the City Ground in December 2023. After saving Forest from relegation last season, he has marked his first full campaign as head coach by securing European football for the first time in over 30 years, and the Portuguese could yet lead his side to Champions League qualification. He has won three Barclays Manager of the Month awards this season, more than any other manager.

Nuno

Vitor Pereira (Wolverhampton Wanderers)

Wolves were facing a long, hard winter when Pereira took charge in December with the team 19th in the table. But he inspired a run of 10 wins and two draws from 18 matches to steer them away from the relegation zone and secure their Premier League status for next season. A popular figure with Wolves fans who is known for sharing a pint in the pub with supporters after matches, April’s Barclays Manager of the Month winner has fostered a togetherness at Molineux, bringing out the best in his squad.

Arne Slot (Liverpool)

As dream debut seasons go, they don't get much better than winning the Premier League title, as Slot became the first Dutch manager in history to lift the Trophy. Succeeding Jurgen Klopp looked an impossible task, but Slot has made it look seamless. Inheriting largely the same squad as his predecessor, Slot's style of possession-based play reinvigorated the Reds, who claimed the title with four matches to spare, equalling Manchester United's record total of 20 English top-flight titles.
