AFC Bournemouth have made their first signing of the summer transfer window with the arrival of David Brooks from Sheffield United.
The 20-year-old midfielder has signed a four-year deal after moving to Vitality Stadium for an undisclosed fee.
"When you look at Eddie Howe as a manager you want to be involved in something like that," Brooks told the club's official website.
"He's got big ambitions and with younger players he develops them well and he gives them a chance. That's something I'm looking for and he was one of the main attractions for me to come to Bournemouth."
Brooks rose through the ranks at Sheffield United, making his first-team debut for the club in 2016. He has made a total of 37 appearances, scoring three goals.
"He is technically very good, has huge potential and will fit our philosophy in terms of how we want to play," said Howe.
He will be hoping to make his Premier League debut when AFC Bournemouth host Cardiff City on 11 August.
