The 2024/25 Premier League season was another memorable campaign, with glorious goals, sensational saves, outrageous assists and memorable matches aplenty. Here, our pundits pick their standout player, manager, moment and more from the season.
Best player
Darren Bent: Mohamed Salah. His performances and his numbers have been a level above.
Matt Holland: Salah. It’s hard to look past the man with the most goals and the most assists in the Premier League this season.
Tim Sherwood: Salah for his goals, assists and incredible consistency.
Karen Carney, Don Hutchison, Glenn Murray, Leon Osman, Michael Owen, Shaun Wright-Phillips: Salah.
Shay Given: Virgil van Dijk.
Best manager
Darren Bent: Arne Slot - coming in to the Premier League and winning the title in your first season is incredible.
Matt Holland: Slot. He had the unenviable task of following Jurgen Klopp at Anfield with minimal transfer activity and masterminded a title with four games to spare.
Tim Sherwood: Slot, for following the legend Klopp and winning the Premier League in his first season.
Karen Carney, Don Hutchison, Glenn Murray, Michael Owen, Shaun Wright-Phillips: Slot.
Shay Given: Eddie Howe.
Leon Osman: Nuno Espirito Santo.
Best goal
Darren Bent: Omar Marmoush against AFC Bournemouth. We just don't see people shoot like that anymore from 30 yards. It had dip, bend, swerve... the lot.
Tim Sherwood: Marmoush v Bournemouth. An important goal to open the scoring.
Karen Carney: Harry Wilson v Brentford.
Glenn Murray: Alexander Isak v Liverpool at St James' Park.
Matt Holland: Kaoru Mitoma v Chelsea - you won’t see a better first touch! The second, third and fourth touches weren’t bad either!
Leon Osman: Mitoma against Chelsea - the touch and finish!
Don Hutchison, Michael Owen, Shaun Wright-Phillips: Mitoma.
Shay Given: Jean-Philippe Mateta v Arsenal.

Best save
Matt Holland: Emiliano Martinez at Nottingham Forest - I was commentating on the game and couldn’t believe it didn’t go in! Sensational reflexes and it gets better every time you see it.
Shay Given, Don Hutchison, Michael Owen: Martinez v Forest.
Leon Osman: Andre Onana for Manchester United at Crystal Palace or Jordan Pickford's against West Ham.
Tim Sherwood: David Raya for Arsenal from Ollie Watkins at Aston Villa.
Best assist
Matt Holland: Milos Kerkez for Marcus Tavernier. There may have been better, but from memory, this was the best cross I have seen all season. An early delivery provided a deep, inch-perfect cross.
Shay Given: Ryan Gravenberch for Salah.
Tim Sherwood: Reece James for Marc Cucurella v Man Utd.
Michael Owen: Raul Jimenez's backheel for Andreas Pereira against Manchester City.
Leon Osman, Don Hutchison: Jimenez.

Favourite moment
Karen Carney: Everton fans and the nice scenes of them saying goodbye to Goodison Park at their last home game. It was emotional but it showed what it means to the fans.
Glenn Murray: James Tarkowski’s last-gasp equaliser for Everton v Liverpool, in the last men's Merseyside derby at Goodison Park.
Leon Osman: Tarkowski's goal in the Merseyside derby.
Shaun Wright-Phillips: Palace's FA Cup final win.
Michael Owen: Liverpool's celebrations after the game at Anfield against Spurs.
Don Hutchison: Liverpool players in front of The Kop singing "You'll Never Walk Alone" when they won the league.
Darren Bent: Jamie Vardy scoring his 200th goal in his 500th appearance. A true legend of the Premier League.
Tim Sherwood: Vardy's 200th goal in his 500th game.
Matt Holland: It may not have gone to plan, but to see Ipswich Town back in the Premier League after a 22-year absence was a personal standout. For something different, Justin Kluivert's hat-trick of penalties for AFC Bournemouth at Wolves.
Shay Given: Newcastle United winning the EFL Cup.
Best signing
Matt Holland: Dean Huijsen. It took him a while to break into Bournemouth's side, but he was irreplaceable when he eventually did.
Karen Carney, Shay Given, Glenn Murray: Huijsen.
Tim Sherwood: Nikola Milenkovic. A solid defender for Forest and great value.
Michael Owen: Milenkovic.
Don Hutchison: Elliot Anderson.
Leon Osman: Villa's Marco Asensio - it showed the intent and the draw of the club.
Shaun Wright-Phillips: Marmoush.

Glenn Murray: Jacob Murphy.
Shaun Wright-Phillips: Nicolas Jackson.
Tim Sherwood: Chris Wood. The season of his life.

Best match
