Manchester United’s line-up for tonight’s encounter against Southampton could be shaken up by the inclusion of both Paul Pogba (£8.5million) and Chris Smalling (£6.0m) for the home team.

Both players are available after serving out suspensions and Pogba’s impact, in particular, is of real interest, especially for the 12.7% who own him.

The signing is likely to be deployed in front of the back four in a 4-2-3-1 but may still be given licence to bomb forward beyond the forwards.

Smalling will be pushing Eric Bailly or Daley Blind (both £5.5m) for a start at centre-back; Bailly is found in 13.3% of FPL squads.

Mourinho also welcomes back Jesse Lingard (£6.0m). The winger, who netted in the FA Community Shield win over Leicester City, could oust Juan Mata (£7.5m).

Lingard is owned by just 1% of Fantasy Premier League managers and would represent a key target if he can claim regular starts.

On Merseyside, Sadio Mane (£9.0m) is a doubt for Liverpool’s trip to Burnley after a shoulder injury in training.

The Senegalese has been drafted in by more than 36,000 FPL managers after scoring in last the win at Arsenal. His absence would spark a change in Liverpool’s attack.

Daniel Sturridge (£10.0m) is back in full training and could come into contention at Turf Moor. That would lead to a change in role for Roberto Firmino (£8.5m). Fielded as a “false nine” at Emirates Stadium, he could move to the right to accommodate Sturridge in a 4-3-3 formation.

Over at Everton, Romelu Lukaku (£9.0m) is back in full training and expected to be available after missing out last week with a heel injury.

The Belgian’s return could see Ronald Koeman tinker with his tactics at West Bromwich Albion.

The Everton manager opted for a 3-4-2-1 formation against Tottenham Hotspur last weekend, with Gerard Deulofeu (£6.5m) playing through the middle.

With Yannick Bolasie (£6.0m) pushing for a debut, Koeman may switch to 4-2-3-1, shifting Deulofeu and Bolasie to the flanks and allowing Ross Barkley (£7.5m) to tuck in behind Lukaku.

Arsene Wenger has concerns in midfield as Arsenal visit the King Power Stadium with Aaron Ramsey (£7.9m) and Alex Iwobi (£6.0m) ruled out until mid-September.

Arsenal are also monitoring the fitness of Mesut Ozil (£9.5m) and Olivier Giroud (£9.0m), so Santi Cazorla (£7.5m) looks likely to be handed the central-support role behind Alexis Sanchez (£11.0m) for the trip to Leicester City.

Cazorla provided two assists in a 30-minute cameo against Liverpool on Sunday.

At the back, Wenger may well gamble on the fitness of Laurent Koscielny (£6.0m) to improve a defence who conceded four times at home to Jurgen Klopp’s team. A return for the Frenchman could force either Rob Holding or Calum Chambers (both £4.5m) to the bench.

Chambers has been acquired by over 44,000 FPL managers heading into tonight’s 7pm deadline.
