2014: Everton land Lukaku for club-record fee

Romelu Lukaku was signed permanently by Everton from Chelsea for a then club-record fee.

Lukaku had spent the previous season on loan with the Toffees, scoring 15 goals in 31 Premier League appearances.

In 2015/16, he became the first Everton player to score in six consecutive PL matches, and the first to score seven in all competitions since Bob Latchford, 40 years previously.

After four seasons at Goodison Park he signed for Manchester United in summer 2017.

In 34 PL matches in 2014/15, Bertrand scored twice, provided two assists and earned 13 clean sheets as Saints came seventh.

He signed for the club permanently in the summer of 2015.
