Lee Mills hit the early strike at Valley Parade, while Dan Petrescu equalised after 58 minutes.
Chelsea remained seventh, while Bradford were now only one point behind 17th-placed Derby County.
2009: Matthew Etherington joins Stoke City
Stoke City completed the signing of Matthew Etherington from West Ham United.
The winger was voted the club's Player of the Season for the 2009/10 campaign and, the following year, he helped Stoke reach the FA Cup final for the first time in their history.
Etherington made 152 Premier League appearances for the Potters, scoring 13 goals, before leaving in the summer of 2014.
