Southampton have confirmed Steven Davis (Achilles) is their only injury concern. Shane Long should be available despite going off injured at Arsenal last week.

Jack Stephens starts a three-match suspension for his red card against the Gunners.

Chelsea remain without David Luiz (knee) and Ethan Ampadu (ankle), while Danny Drinkwater is struggling with a groin problem.

Did you know?

Chelsea have won their last four Premier League matches against Southampton. They have never beaten them five times in a row.

Cesar Azpilicueta and Alvaro Morata have combined for seven PL goals this season and need one more to equal a Chelsea record. Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba laid on eight goals for each other in 2005/06.

Mark Hughes could become the third manager to beat Chelsea with four different PL clubs, after Roy Hodgson and Sam Allardyce. He has previously achieved that feat with Blackburn Rovers, Manchester City and Stoke City.

Charlie Austin has scored four goals in his last four PL appearances at St Mary’s Stadium, though the fit-again Saints striker has not played there since December.
