Brighton & Hove Albion were awarded three penalties as they beat Hull City 3-0 in the Premier League Cup at Grange Lane.

After Will Annan struck the post for the home side, George Cox tucked away his spot-kick on 51 minutes to break the deadlock.

Brighton were given another penalty on 67 minutes, but while Cox could not score it, Steven Alzate netted the rebound.

In stoppage time, Aaron Connolly rolled Brighton's third penalty of the night past Will Mannion.

Brighton are two points clear at the top of Group H, having played a match more than Exeter, while Hull are bottom with four points.
