Sean Dyche says Burnley are still moving forward after signing a new four-and-a-half-year contract as manager.

“There’s lots of work to be done, but I’m definitely in for the work to be done.”

The 46-year-old says the Clarets, who are eighth in the table and on course to eclipse their best Premier League finish of 16th, are still on the up as he grows as a coach.

"I am quite young in management terms, I am still learning and still improving," Dyche told the club's official website.

“It’s a very good environment and I enjoy the connection I’ve had with this area. I think we are still moving forwards.
