Danny Loader's penalty in the fifth minute of stoppage time gave Reading a 2-1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion at the Madejski Stadium and put the Royals level on points with Division 2 leaders Middlesbrough.
Loader (pictured) sent goalkeeper Bailey Vose the wrong way from the spot to move his side up to second, having played one match more than Boro.
Substitute Akinwale Odimayo volleyed Reading into a 75th-minute lead but Henrik Bjordal quickly equalised from close range.
Ben House hit the post for Reading before Adrian Popa's free-kick struck an outstretched arm in the wall. Loader stepped up to end Brighton's seven-match unbeaten run.
