Middlesbrough came from behind to share the spoils in a six-goal thriller against Southampton on Sunday afternoon.

Jake Hesketh and Jonathan Afolabi gave Southampton a 2-0 lead at Heritage Park but Boro pulled a goal back just before the break with a low strike from George Miller.

Boro equalised on 64 minutes through Ashley Fletcher, only for Hesketh to put Southampton ahead again a minute later.

Middlesbrough secured a draw seven minutes from time when Nathan McGinley pounced on a loose ball to score.

Boro remain top of the table, three points clear of Blackburn Rovers, who have a match in hand, while Southampton are seventh.
