Glenn Murray believes his Brighton & Hove Albion side are faring well in the Premier League because they have high expectations of themselves.

The Brighton striker, who has been nominated for EA SPORTS Player of the Month after scoring three goals in October, puts Brighton's eighth place after 11 matches down to the players being adaptable and mentally strong.

"Outwardly, I think everyone probably expects the newly promoted teams to get relegated, and we were no exception to that," he told Brighton’s official website. "But inwardly, we put pressure on ourselves because we want to achieve."

Brighton host Stoke City on Monday.
