Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero is back in full training after a rib injury and midfielder Fabian Delph has recovered from a knock.

Defenders Vincent Kompany (calf) and Benjamin Mendy (knee) are out.

Stoke City are without Ryan Shawcross (back), and Joe Allen (head) and Bruno Martins Indi (hip) are unlikely to be available.

Did you know?

Manchester City have kept a clean sheet in eight of their nine Premier League home matches against Stoke (W7 D1 L1). Only against Aston Villa (nine) have they kept more at home.

Stoke City have either kept a clean sheet (three times) or conceded exactly four goals (also three) in each of their last six PL matches v Man City (W2 D1 L3).

Only Chelsea (+21 in 2010/11) have had a better goal difference after seven matches of a PL season than Man City's current +20.

Petr Cech (one) is the only goalkeeper in PL history to have conceded fewer goals in his first seven starts than Ederson (two).

What the managers say

Pep Guardiola: "Stoke will be a tough tough game, they are so defensive, the back five is well organised and they have a good goalkeeper."

Mark Hughes: “It is always difficult going to a place like Man City, but we can take confidence from the fact that we went there last season and performed well against them."
