As we head towards the final round of Premier League fixtures before the international break, here is what to look out for this week, including tonight's match between Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea and all of the European midweek action.

Monday

Spurs look to return to the top of the Premier League table as they host London rivals Chelsea in the final fixture of Matchweek 11 at 20:00 GMT.

Tonight's meeting will have an extra layer of context with Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino returning to the club where he enjoyed five successful seasons.

Elsewhere, Newcastle United head coach Eddie Howe will hold his press conference ahead of their UEFA Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund.

Tuesday

Newcastle take on Dortmund in Germany, having narrowly lost the reverse fixture a fortnight ago. Kick-off is at 17:45 GMT.

The two sides go into the contest in different spirits, with the Magpies claiming a statement victory over Arsenal at St James' Park on Saturday while Dortmund will have to pick themselves up after a heavy defeat to Bayern Munich.

Meanwhile, a fourth straight Champions League win for Man City would take them into the knockout rounds. Kick-off is at 20:00 GMT.

Erik ten Hag and Mikel Arteta will also face the media ahead of their sides' respective Champions League matches on Wednesday against Copenhagen and Sevilla.

Wednesday

Manchester United visit Copenhagen in the Champions League - a match that will be viewed as a must-win for Ten Hag's side as they target qualification for the next round.

Arsenal host Sevilla with a chance to extend their lead at the top of Group B. The Gunners will hope to replicate their 2-1 win in Spain two weeks ago.

Both matches kick off at 20:00 GMT.

Further press conferences will take place too as Jurgen Klopp, Roberto De Zerbi, David Moyes and Unai Emery preview their respective UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League matches.

Thursday

Liverpool travel to Toulouse in the Europa League with the Reds sitting comfortably top of Group E and with the chance of extending their perfect start in the competition.

Brighton & Hove Albion travel to Ajax needing another positive result. They currently sit third in their group with four points after three matches.

Both matches kick off at 17:45 GMT.

West Ham United host Olympiacos at the London Stadium. After a tough loss away in Greece, the Hammers have a chance to set things right in Group A. Kick-off is at 20:00 GMT.

In the Europa Conference League, Aston Villa will be aiming for three successive wins in Group E. They take on AZ Alkmaar at Villa Park, kicking off at 20:00 GMT.

Friday

The winners will be announced for October's monthly awards: The PL2 Player of the Month, EA SPORTS Player of the Month, Barclays Manager of the Month, Budweiser Goal of the Month and Castrol Save of the Month.

The majority of Premier League managers will hold their press conferences, providing the latest team news.

Saturday

The Gameweek 12 deadline for Fantasy Premier League is at 11:00 GMT, before Wolverhampton Wanderers host Spurs at 12:30 GMT.

Following this, there will be three 15:00 GMT kick-offs, before Bournemouth welcome their old manager Howe and Newcastle United at 17:30 GMT.

Sunday

Four Premier League fixtures kick off at 14:00 GMT. Liverpool will take on Brentford at Anfield, while Villa, Brighton and West Ham are also at home after midweek European action.

The last fixture of Matchweek 12 is at Stamford Bridge where Chelsea host Man City in a match where Cole Palmer could face his old club following his summer transfer move.
