Here's what to look out for over the next week, with midweek EFL Cup ties and the shortlists for monthly awards, before Premier League action resumes on Saturday.

Tuesday

Ahead of their respective EFL Cup ties on Wednesday, managers of the Premier League clubs involved will hold their press conferences to give the latest updates on their players. 

Wednesday

Ten Premier League teams will be action in the last 16 of the EFL Cup, with eight of those going head-to-head in all-Premier League ties.

The standout match is the repeat of last season's EFL Cup final as Manchester United and Newcastle United meet at Old Trafford.

Declan Rice could return to his former club as West Ham United host Arsenal, and Everton manager Sean Dyche faces his old team Burnley. Liverpool visit AFC Bournemouth.

Wednesday EFL Cup fixtures:
Bournemouth v Liverpool
Chelsea v Blackburn
Everton v Burnley
Ipswich v Fulham
Man Utd v Newcastle
West Ham v Arsenal

Thursday

The shortlists will be announced for October's EA SPORTS Player of the Month, Barclays Manager of the Month, Budweiser Goal of the Month and Castrol Save of the Month, with fans getting the chance to vote for who they think deserves to win.

Managers will also hold their press conferences ahead of the weekend's fixtures.

Friday

A final round of press conferences will take place ahead of Matchweek 11, with managers providing the latest team news.

Saturday

The Fantasy Premier League deadline will be at 11:00 GMT, before Fulham and Man Utd kick off at 12:30 GMT.

There will be five matches at 15:00 GMT, with Manchester City looking to go top of the table when they host Bournemouth, while Arsenal could also move into top spot when they visit Newcastle at 17:30 GMT.

Sunday

There are two more matches on Sunday, with Nottingham Forest facing Aston Villa at 14:00 GMT and Luton Town welcoming Liverpool to Kenilworth Road at 16:30 GMT.

The final fixture of the Matchweek is next Monday night, 6 November, when Mauricio Pochettino returns to his former club Tottenham Hotspur with Chelsea.
