West Ham United have signed former Arsenal defender Konstantinos Mavropanos from Stuttgart.
The Greek defender has agreed a five-year deal with West Ham and is their fourth signing of the summer transfer window. He will wear the No 15 shirt.
“I am really happy and excited to be here – and to be back in the Premier League with West Ham United,” Mavropanos told the club's official website.

“It’s an exciting time to be joining the club after last season’s Conference League win – and I am really looking forward to the next step in my career. I can promise the fans I will give everything for them and the shirt.”
West Ham manager David Moyes is delighted to have added Mavropanos to a central-defensive cohort that includes Kurt Zouma, Nayef Aguerd , Angelo Ogbonna and Thilo Kehrer.
“We’ve been looking to add to our centre-half options this summer, so it’s good we’ve been able to bring in an international defender of his ability," said Moyes. “We’re really looking forward to integrating him into the group.”
The 25-year-old centre-back started his professional career at PAS Giannina in his native Greece before Arsene Wenger brought him to Emirates Stadium in January 2018. He played seven times for Arsenal in the Premier League.
Following loan spells with Nuremberg and Stuttgart, Mavropanos joined the latter on a permanent deal at the start of the 2022/23 season.

He scored a crucial goal in the Bundesliga relegation playoffs last season to keep Stuttgart in the German top flight.
Mavropanos made his international debut in March 2021, the first of 21 caps for Greece.
West Ham fans could see their new signing make his debut on Saturday 26 August at Brighton & Hove Albion.
