Ryan Seager scored a late penalty as Southampton recovered from a Manchester United comeback to earn a 3-3 draw against their relegation rivals at Old Trafford.

Saints were 2-0 up after 50 minutes thanks to Josh Sims' early opener and a goal by Alfie Jones, but Devonte Redmond pulled one back before a flurry of spot-kicks.

United were awarded two in quick succession, both converted by Demi Mitchell, before Seager held his nerve at the other end to slot in from 12 yards.

The result leaves Man Utd three points clear of the relegation zone and Southampton two points above the bottom three.

Both sides have three matches to play, with Man Utd facing Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Monday 10 April and Southampton hosting Liverpool at St Mary's Stadium on the same night.
