Hull City have announced the appointment of Marco Silva as their new head coach.
The Portuguese has agreed a contract until the end of the season to join the Humberside club and replace Mike Phelan, who left his post on 3 January after taking over in the summer.
Silva began his coaching career with Estoril in 2011, helping them return to the Portuguese top flight after a seven-year absence.
The 39-year-old took over at Sporting Lisbon in 2014, securing a third-place finish and winning the Portuguese Cup, the club's first silverware in six years.

The following season he moved to Olympiacos, where he won the Greek Supercup, strung together a record 17 consecutive domestic victories, masterminded a 3-2 UEFA Champions League group stage victory over Arsenal and clinched the league title with six matches to spare.
Silva takes over with Hull at the foot of the Premier League table with 13 points from 20 matches, three points from safety.
His first Premier League assignment will be a home match against AFC Bournemouth on 14 January.
