For Fantasy Premier League expert David Munday, in-form Gareth Bale (£9.5m) has not only shown he deserves a place in more FPL teams, he has also proved he is a strong captain option.
Munday plans to give the armband to the Welshman, who has 35 points in the last three Gameweeks but an ownership of just 7.1 per cent, in this weekend’s north London derby at Arsenal.
“I think I’ll probably go Bale because he feels like an explosive kind of player, in a fixture that usually has goals,” says Munday in the latest episode of the FPL Show.
“I think he’s not owned enough yet. It could be a differential move to captain him.”
Gianni Buttice agrees that Bale has galvanised Tottenham Hotspur’s attack, but this assessment has led him to a different captain, Harry Kane (£11.4m).
“I like the addition of Bale to help Kane’s points. I’m actually looking at Kane,” he says.
“I like the form of Spurs, and Kane, in a London derby, I like that.”
Remember, the Gameweek 28 deadline is 18:30 GMT today, Friday 12 March.
