James Rodriguez is ruled out for Everton along with Abdoualye Doucoure, who could miss the next "eight to 10 weeks" with a small fracture in his foot.

Yerry Mina and Seamus Coleman returned to training and are in contention, but Gylfi Sigurdsson (ankle) is a doubt.

Ashley Barnes (thigh) remains sidelined for Burnley while Charlie Taylor (hamstring) is set to miss the trip to Goodison Park.

Robbie Brady (heel) will be assessed but the match is likely to come too soon for Jack Cork (hamstring), who missed the draw with Arsenal last time out.

Did you know?

Everton have won five of their six Premier League home matches against Burnley.

Against no side has Everton’s Alex Iwobi been involved in more PL goals than he has against Burnley, with two goals and two assists, accounting for 13 per cent of his 31 total goal involvements in the competition.

Burnley are aiming to win at both Merseyside clubs in one season for the first time, following their 1-0 triumph at Liverpool in January.

Six of Burnley's 20 PL goals this season have come in the opening 15 minutes of matches, with no side netting higher than their 30 per cent return in that time.
