Leicester City were denied a first win in five Premier League 2 Division 1 matches by Harvey Godsmark-Ford's late own goal.
Kasey McAteer put the Foxes ahead in the first half, but they were unable to hold on and conceded eight minutes from time.
The draw takes Brighton up to ninth place with 20 points from their 16 matches. Leicester stay 11th, now with 16 points.
