Reading climbed up to second in Division 2 with a 5-2 victory over second-from-bottom West Bromwich Albion.
It was 1-1 at the break after goals by Reading's Jayden Onen and West Brom's Jamie Soule.
But Reading took control with Nahum Melvin-Lambert scoring a brace and Ethan Bristow and Femi Azeez also finding the net.
West Brom's Taylor Gardner-Hickman netted a late consolation as Reading moved nine points behind Leeds United, their next opponents, with a match in hand.
