Wolverhampton Wanderers have completed the signing of striker Fabio Silva for a club-record fee.

The 18-year-old joins from Porto having agreed a five-year contract.

"Fabio is a young player who shows not only incredible technical ability but also his game intelligence for a player of his age is top class," Wolves executive chairman Jeff Shi told the club's official website.

"He has the ability to drop in to link play and hold the ball up to bring others into play. He always then looks to get in the box and his movement and intelligence in the penalty area is as good as anyone's."

Silva, Porto's youngest ever player and goalscorer, has represented Portugal at junior level from under-15s to under-19s, having come through the system at both Benfica and Porto.
