Manchester United return to Old Trafford after back-to-back away trips to defend their run of 41 consecutive Premier League home matches without defeat in November.

Brighton & Hove Albion have climbed above their hosts and sit eighth in the table after three wins in their last four outings.

Team news

Ashley Young serves a one-match suspension and is sidelined for Manchester United, who will monitor Scott McTominay and Harry Maguire (both knocks).

Victor Lindelof (back) is being assessed after missing Thursday's UEFA Europa League win at Partizan Belgrade, although Luke Shaw, and Axel Tuanzebe appear unlikely to figure. Paul Pogba, Tim Fosu-Mensah and Eric Bailly remain sidelined.

Adam Webster has been ruled out for Brighton after sustaining ankle ligament damage.

The Seagulls will still be without Bernardo and Jose Izquierdo for Sunday's match, but otherwise report no new injury concerns.

Man Utd are unbeaten in all 11 of their home matches against Brighton in all competitions, winning nine and drawing two.

All four of the Premier League matches between these sides have been won by the home side, and by a single goal.

On three occasions since the start of last season, two players have come off the bench to score for Brighton in the Premier League, twice more than any other side.

Graham Potter’s only win as a Premier League player came against Man Utd, with Southampton in 1996/97, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was among his opponents that day.
