A dominant display against Southampton helped Ben Chilwell (£5.5m) record the highest points haul for a defender in 2019/20 Fantasy Premier League.

The Leicester City left-back scored one goal and set up another two in the Premier League record 9-0 victory at St Mary’s Stadium on Friday.

Chilwell’s 19-point haul has sparked major interest from FPL managers, with more than 172,000 bringing him in.

And the Foxes’ upcoming schedule only adds to the appeal of their key players.

According to the Fixture Difficulty Ratings (FDR), six of their next seven opponents score just two.

Chilwell takes his place in a Dream Team line-up which scored a season-high 156 points.

GW10 Dream Team
Tim Krul (NOR) £4.5m; 16pts

The Norwich City goalkeeper saved two penalties and made eight stops overall in the 3-1 home defeat to Manchester United.

Ben Chilwell (LEI) £5.5m; 19pts

He has been involved in four goals this season, scoring once and supplying three assists. Only Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.2m) can match that total among defenders.

Jamaal Lascelles (NEW) £4.4m; 10pts

The centre-back scored Newcastle United’s opener in the 1-1 home draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Federico Fernandez (NEW) £4.4m; 8pts

The Argentinian made an all-round impact in his first start of 2019/20. Fernandez supplied the assist for Lascelles’ effort while also making a match-high nine clearances, blocks and interceptions (CBI).

Christian Pulisic (CHE) £7.1m; 20pts

Chelsea’s summer signing makes his debut in the Dream Team after his hat-trick in the 4-2 win at Burnley. Pulisic has contributed three goals and three assists in his last five Gameweek appearances.

Ayoze Perez (LEI) £6.0m; 20pts

His hat-trick against Saints has turned the heads of FPL managers. Perez is the most-bought midfielder in the Gameweek, with over 87,000 new owners.

Youri Tielemans (LEI) £6.5m; 11pts

A goal and assist earned the Belgian his second double-figure haul of 2019/20. Tielemans has scored in each of the last two Gameweeks, totalling 20 points.

Willian (CHE) £7.0m; 12pts

Chelsea’s Brazilian clinched his second Dream Team appearance of the season by scoring once and supplying an assist at Turf Moor.

Raheem Sterling (MCI) £12.1m; 11pts

The most-captained player in Gameweek 10, Sterling was handed the armband by 1.19million managers. He justified that faith with a goal and the maximum three bonus points in Manchester City's 3-0 home win over Aston Villa.

Jamie Vardy (LEI) £9.2m; 20pts

Leicester’s frontman soared to the top of the FPL points standings thanks to a hat-trick and an assist against Southampton. Vardy has earned more than 310,000 new owners for his Gameweek 11 trip to Crystal Palace.

Neal Maupay (BHA) £6.0m; 9pts

A converted penalty and maximum bonus against Everton earned Maupay his Dream Team debut. The Brighton & Hove Albion striker has scored in his last three home matches ahead of a visit from Norwich this weekend.
