Aston Villa are aiming to win for the first time in four matches and move out of the relegation zone.

Ninth-placed Burnley are seeking to consolidate their position in the top half of the table after beating Norwich City at home last time out.

Team news

Saturday's match will come too soon for Aston Villa midfielder Henri Lansbury, who misses out after taking a knock to his ankle at Arsenal.

Striker Jonathan Kodjia had a mask fitted on his fractured cheekbone on Wednesday and is back in training.

For the visitors, Johann Berg Gudmundsson is available for the first time in four matches having overcome a calf injury.

Burnley also hope that Dwight McNeil will recover from a dead leg but Danny Drinkwater (ankle) remains out.

All 12 Premier League goals in matches between these sides have been scored by British players, the most between any pair of teams this century.

Aston Villa are looking to record a third consecutive PL clean sheet at home for the first time since December 2012, while Burnley are aiming for a first away shutout in 11 PL matches.

Villa's John McGinn has been on the losing side in both PL fixtures in which he has scored. The only player at the club to lose their first three such matches was Jordan Ayew in 2015.

Burnley have won their last five PL matches against promoted sides, more than in their first 20 such fixtures.
