Leicester City's 1-0 win over FC Copenhagen on Tuesday night maintained their 100% start to the UEFA Champions League and managers of Riyad Mahrez would have been pleased, too.

Riyad Mahrez (£9.2m) and Islam Slimani (£8.5m) were among four changes Claudio Ranieri made to his starting XI from the weekend loss at Chelsea and the Algerians combined for the winner. Slimani teed up Mahrez to score his first goal for the club in six matches.

Owned by 12% of Fantasy Premier League managers, Mahrez and Jamie Vardy (£9.7m) boasted the greatest goal threat and fired three shots apiece against the Danish side.

Along with Slimani, they could be set to profit from a schedule in which nine of their next 12 matches score two or lower in the Fixture Difficulty Rankings.

Ranieri's weekend rotation policy may persuade FPL managers to target the Foxes' defensive regulars instead.

They have chalked up a clean sheet in five of seven matches at the King Power across all competitions.

Wes Morgan (£5.0m) and Christian Fuchs (£5.4m) are the most popular Leicester defenders, in 21.9% and 7.7% of FPL squads respectively.

Those considering Robert Huth (£5.0m) should be aware that the German has four yellow cards in the PL and so is one caution short of a one-match suspension.

Spurs blanked

Tottenham Hotspur struggled for a cutting edge in last night's goalless draw at Bayer Leverkusen, with only a single Erik Lamela (£6.8m) shot on target among six attempts to their hosts' 16.

Son Heung-min returned to the Spurs starting line-up on the left-flank but registered just a single shot

Son Heung-min (£7.7m) was restored to the first XI after being a substitute at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.

Subject to more than 328,00 transfers in before The Hawthorns encounter, the South Korean was fielded on the left in Germany and mustered only one shot against his former club. This contrasts to the productivity of his last four PL starts, in which Son has averaged 4.5 goal attempts per match.

Pochettino changed three of his back four from the weekend, with the 36.7%-owned Kyle Walker (£6.0m) rested.

Sitting in 18.1% of FPL squads, Toby Alderweireld (£6.5m) was sidelined due to injury and is expected to miss the weekend trip to AFC Bournemouth.

Despite the defensive alterations, the north London club stood firm and have conceded five goals in 12 matches across all competitions.
