Fifth-placed Arsenal must win on Sunday, hope Tottenham Hotspur lose at home against Everton, and benefit from an eight-goal swing in goal difference to leapfrog their north London rivals into the top four.

A first victory in four matches for Burnley could take them above Newcastle United into 14th place in the final standings.

Burnley have lost their last two PL matches on the closing day of the season despite taking the lead both times.

Peter Crouch could become only the fourth player to score on the final day of seven PL campaigns, after Les Ferdinand, Teddy Sheringham and Andrew Cole, the latter doing so eight times.

Arsenal have won their last three PL away matches against Burnley, all by a 1-0 scoreline, with the last two coming courtesy of a 90th-minute winner.

The Gunners are unbeaten on the final day of the PL season since 2004/05 and have won the last seven such fixtures.
