Bristol City beat the 2014/15 Premier League Cup winners Southampton 2-1 in their debut in the competition on Friday night.
Two second-half headers from Shawn McCoulskey put the visitors in command in the Group A match at Staplewood Training Ground, before Thomas O’Connor's netted a stoppage-time goal for the Saints.

The other two sides in the group, Newcastle United and Swansea City, drew 0-0 earlier in the day.
