Owen Hargreaves says Liverpool need to enjoy the rest of the season as the pressure intensifies in their quest for a first Premier League title.
Liverpool were knocked off the top of the table for the first time since 15 December after Manchester City beat Everton 2-0 on Wednesday night.
But only goal difference separates Jurgen Klopp's men and the champions, with Liverpool having a match in hand.
Hargreaves believes the Reds should try to shut out the pressure over their remaining 13 matches.
"You just want to see Liverpool play with that smile on their face again… they need to embrace it," Hargreaves said. "This is an opportunity, it's not a negative.
"I just want to see them enjoy their football like they did at the start of the season. The last two games, we haven't seen that."
