Bottom of the table Sunderland were unable to claim a much-needed win as they drew 0-0 with Stoke City in Premier League 2 Division 2.
Sunderland's Max Stryjek was the busiest of the two goalkeepers, as he denied Ollie Shenton and Jake Dunwoody's first-half efforts.
The Polish 'keeper was forced into a save by Thibaud Verlinden's low strike, while Dan Neil's long-range effort was the only notable chance for the Black Cats.
Stoke move up one place to eighth on 17 points, while Sunderland remain bottom with six points.
