Maurizio Sarri is bidding to continue his winning start to life in England as his Chelsea side gear up for their home match against sixth-placed AFC Bournemouth.

Team news

Chelsea remain without Cesc Fabregas but head coach Sarri says the midfielder's injury is not a serious one.

AFC Bournemouth have Diego Rico available for the first time in the Premier League with the summer signing having served out a suspension.

Manager Eddie Howe says he has "a couple of knocks" to assess following their midweek Carabao Cup win over MK Dons. Junior Stanislas (knee) is a long-term absentee.

Chelsea are aiming to win their opening four matches of a Premier League season for the sixth time, having also done so in 2004/05, 2005/06, 2009/10, 2010/11 and 2014/15. They won the title in all but one of those seasons, in 2010/11, when they finished second.

Sarri could become the sixth head coach or manager to win his first four PL matches. Three of the other five did so with Chelsea: Jose Mourinho, Guus Hiddink and Carlo Ancelotti. The others are Pep Guardiola and Craig Shakespeare.

Over the last three seasons, no side have beaten Chelsea at Stamford Bridge more often in the PL than AFC Bournemouth. The Cherries have triumphed twice, the same as Crystal Palace, Liverpool and Manchester City.

Since 2015/16, AFC Bournemouth have won nine PL matches from losing positions. Only Liverpool and Spurs have done so more often, with 10 and 12 victories respectively.
