A healthy breakfast not only helps children get a balanced diet, it can also lead to improved behaviour and results at school.

For the last five years, Huddersfield Town Foundation have been running Early Kick-Off breakfast clubs to give youngsters a perfect start to the day.

The Foundation now run 24 of these clubs, with more than 1,000 breakfasts served every morning, and recently first-team players Chris Lowe and Jonas Lossl visited Christchurch Academy to see how the scheme is making a difference to local schoolchildren.

"Punctuality and attendance has improved dramatically," said Christchurch Academy assistant head teacher Michala Uttley.

"The children are in early, they are ready to learn, it's had a massive impact."
