Liverpool have Sadio Mane available again after suspension. Nathaniel Clyne (back) and Adam Lallana (thigh) are their only expected injury absentees.

Newcastle United can call upon Florian Lejeune, who is back from injury, while Aleksandar Mitrovic has served his three-match ban.

The Magpies are only missing Paul Dummett (hamstring) and Massadio Haidara (knee).

Did you know?

There has never been a goalless draw in 44 previous PL meetings between these sides. Of the 41 PL fixtures to have been played 40 or more times, Newcastle against Liverpool averages the most goals per match (138 goals in 44 matches, 3.14).

Newcastle are one of three PL clubs who Jurgen Klopp has faced and is yet win against; Rafa Benitez has never lost in two matches versus his former club.

Daniel Sturridge has scored in all four of his PL starts at St. James’ Park. He could become only the fourth player to score in five consecutive away starts at a Premier League ground (Alan Shearer at Ellland Road v Leeds, Dion Dublin at White Hart Lane v Spurs and Ruud van Nistelrooy at St. James’ Park v Newcastle).

If Mohamed Salah scores he will be the first Liverpool player to score in five of his first seven PL matches for the club.
