England Rugby Union head coach Eddie Jones saw how Tony Pulis is preparing his West Bromwich Albion squad for the season ahead on a special visit to the club's training ground this week.

Jones, who also swapped tactics with Chelsea's Antonio Conte back in February, explained why he was keen to learn from the Baggies.

"The approach of West Bromwich Albion brought me here," Jones told wba.co.uk. "They're not one of the big clubs in terms of finance so they have to be very creative in how they prepare the players.

"We're always looking for new ways to prepare the players better and there's a nice balance here between the sports science department and the coaching department. The club's doing a great job in maximising the resources they have."

West Brom open their 2017/18 Premier League campaign with a home match against AFC Bournemouth on Saturday 12 August.
