Over the last few years, Boreham Wood FC's Meadow Park home has been rejuvenated with the help of the Premier League's Football Stadia Improvement Fund (FSIF) and Arsenal.

The latest work at the venue means it now has new floodlights, dugouts and an improved drainage system thanks to a grant of £72,755 from the FSIF, while Arsenal have invested in a DESSO hybrid grass pitch.

The venue is used by Arsenal's Academy and Ladies teams and at the club's traditional friendly with Boreham Wood last week, manager Arsene Wenger and chief executive officer Ivan Gazidis officially opened the upgrades.

"It's fair to say that our new pitch construction really does look like money well spent but the truth is, the cost of the whole reconstruction, coupled with Arsenal and FSIF's continued support, simply underpins the community club that they have helped to build," said Boreham Wood FC chairman Danny Hunter.

"As long-standing partners who have worked with our club, both Arsenal and the FSIF have been incredible throughout this whole project."

Two years ago, Wenger also opened Meadow Park's new West Stand, which was funded with the help of a £241,000 FSIF grant.

The Football Stadia Improvement Fund is funded by the Premier League, delivered by the Football Foundation, and is the country's largest provider of grants towards projects that help improve the comfort and safety of lower league football grounds.
