The quarter-finals in Premier League 2 (PL2) was another round of exciting football with x goals being scored in the four matches that took place.

There was a six-goal thriller between Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool which ended with the London club winning on penalties.

Meanwhile Chelsea edged past London rivals Arsenal 3-2 and Reading dispatched of Nottingham Forest 3-1.

Arsenal 2-3 Chelsea

The Gunners took the lead in the 13th minute through XXX but Chelsea equalised on the stroke of half-time thanks to Diego Moreira. Nathan Butler-Oyedeji restored Arsenal's lead 10 minutes into the second half but Arsenal failed to hold on as Moreira struck twice to complete his hat-trick and send the Blues into the semi-finals.

Spurs 3-3 Liverpool (Spurs win on pens 5-4)

Liverpool went ahead through Lewis Koumas but then Spurs scored three unanswered goals to be seemingly in control of the tie. But Liverpool were given a lifeline through an Alfie Dorrington own goal, before levelling the scores with a goal from James Norris in the 82nd minute. The tie went to penalties where one missed effort from Liverpool proved to be costly. 

Reading 3-1 Nott'm Forest 
Jayden Wareham opened the scoring with an early penalty for Reading and their lead was soon doubled by John Clarke. However Detlef Esapa Osong clawed one back for Forest before the break. The next goal was crucial and was scored by Clarke again who sent Reading through  (THE WINNER OF SUNDERLAND V WEST HAM).
