Alfie Doughty (£4.7m) has the attacking potential to reward managers who have made him the most-bought defender in Double Gameweek 28 (DGW28) of Fantasy Premier League.

The Luton Town wing-back has earned over 200,000 new owners for his trips to Crystal Palace and AFC Bournemouth.

Doughty’s assist against Aston Villa last weekend took his total to one goal and eight assists for the season.

He is named in an XI that line up in a 3-4-3 formation, with Dominic Solanke (£7.1m) handed the armband and Carlton Morris (£5.1m) named vice-captain.

FPL DGW28 Scout Selection
Neto (Bournemouth) £4.6m

The Bournemouth goalkeeper can prove a big source of value for his back-to-back home encounters with Sheffield United and Luton. Neto kept his sixth clean sheet of the season last weekend and has earned one save point in eight of his last nine outings.

Gabriel (Arsenal) £5.3m

A home encounter with Brentford gives the Arsenal centre-back the chance to extend his excellent form in Fantasy. Gabriel has two goals and an assist in his last seven matches, also helping the Gunners collect four clean sheets in that spell.

Lewis Dunk (Brighton) £5.1m

Two goals, an assist and a clean sheet in his last five matches underline the Brighton & Hove Albion centre-back's impact at both ends of the pitch. Dunk now has a home fixture against a Nottingham Forest side who have failed to score in their last two matches across all competitions.

Alfie Doughty (Luton) £4.7m

His 53 key passes place second among defenders in 2023/24 Fantasy.

Son Heung-min (Spurs) £9.8m

Tottenham Hotspur’s South Korean boasts a strong record on the road ahead of his visit to Aston Villa. In away matches this season, Son has averaged 7.1 points per appearance and has four double-digit hauls, the second-best tally in the league.

Bukayo Saka (Arsenal) £9.2m

Seven goals and two assists in his last six outings have taken the Arsenal winger to the top of the midfielder standings on 176 points. Saka hosts a Brentford side who have conceded at least twice in nine of their last 11 league matches.

Jarrod Bowen (West Ham) £7.9m

The West Ham United star is the second most-bought midfielder in the Gameweek, earning 190,000+ transfers in for his home encounter with Burnley. Bowen scored a hat-trick in his previous home outing to collect his career-high haul of 20 points.

Cole Palmer (Chelsea) £5.7m

A home meeting with Newcastle United hands the Chelsea midfielder the opportunity to offer major value in Fantasy. Since making his full debut for the Blues in Gameweek 7, Palmer’s 51 shots, 22 shots on target and eight big chances created are all team-leading totals.

Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa) £9.0m

His two goals against Luton last weekend took the Aston Villa forward to 183 points in 2023/24, his best ever Fantasy campaign. Watkins now has a home match against a Spurs side who have conceded at least two goals in five of their last six road trips.

Dominic Solanke (Bournemouth) £7.1m

Bournemouth’s forward looks a very strong contender for the captaincy at home to Sheff Utd and Luton. Solanke’s visitors are both among the worst four sides for conceding away goals, lifting his chances of adding to his 14 goals and three assists in his first season under Andoni Iraola.

The Cherries' forward is dealing with a knee issue, though, and hasn't trained this week. Head coach Andoni Iraola revealed that a late decision will be made on his involvement versus the Blades on Saturday.

Carlton Morris (Luton) £5.1m

The Luton star is the most in-form player among the two DGW28 sides, with four goals and two assists in six outings since returning to their starting XI in Gameweek 22. Morris’s total of 39 points in that spell is only one fewer than Manchester City's Erling Haaland (£14.5m) has managed over the same period.
