Pep Guardiola is expecting January to be a quiet month for Manchester City in the transfer window.

Ahead of the trip to Hull City on Monday evening the Spaniard said that, apart from Gabriel Jesus, the striker whose signing was announced in the summer but will arrive from Palmeiras when the winter transfer window opens on 1 January, there are no plans to reinforce the squad.

“I am happy with what we have,” Guardiola told mancity.com. “Our job is to give confidence to the players we have.

“I’m not denying maybe we are going to look for something, I’m not saying that – but I think right now it’s not going to happen and what we have to do is to convince the players that we have of their qualities.”

City will be without two defenders for the 5.15pm GMT kick-off at the KCOM Stadium.
