Two of the bottom six teams go head-to-head, with 15th-placed Brighton & Hove Albion on 26 points, facing a Watford side four places and three points below.

The Seagulls are looking for their first win in six matches to complete a double over the Hornets, who themselves aim to prevent a third successive defeat.

Team news

Shane Duffy has returned to training and could be in contention for Brighton.

Dan Burn (shoulder) will be assessed by the medical team before a decision is made, while Jose Izquierdo (knee) remains sidelined.

Watford could have Tom Cleverley (Achilles), Ismaila Sarr and Kiko Femenia (both hamstring) available, but Saturday's match comes too soon for Daryl Janmaat (knee).

Adalberto Penaranda provides another attacking option after returning from his loan spell at Belgian side Eupen.

Brighton can do the Premier League double over Watford for the first time, having won 3-0 at Vicarage Road.

Glenn Murray is the oldest player to score in the Premier League this season after netting in the 3-3 draw with West Ham United at the age of 36 and 129 days.

Since Nigel Pearson’s first match in charge of Watford only Mohamed Salah and Sergio Aguero, with seven each, have scored more Premier League goals than Troy Deeney’s five.
