Newcastle United host AFC Bournemouth having picked up four points from their last two matches and risen to 15th. 

But their visitors have lost only one of their last seven matches and head to St James' Park flying high in seventh position.

Team news 

Fabian Schar (knee) and Matt Ritchie (ankle) have been ruled out for Newcastle, who are also without Sean Longstaff due to suspension. 

Florian Lejeune is training but is still building up his fitness and remains unavailable. 

AFC Bournemouth midfielder Jefferson Lerma is suspended but the Cherries have been boosted by the return to training of Dan Gosling. 

Long-term absentees David Brooks, Charlie Daniels, Junior Stanislas and Andrew Surman are still out.
