Leaders Liverpool are targeting a 16th straight Premier League victory as they visit Sheffield United, who are aiming for a second consecutive win after triumphing at Everton.

Team news

Sheffield United striker David McGoldrick (groin) is a major doubt but the Blades have no other fresh injury concerns.

Billy Sharp remains sidelined as he serves the final match of his suspension.

Liverpool's Sadio Mane (knock) and Divock Origi (ankle) are available after returning to full training on Thursday.

James Milner and Curtis Jones should recover from knocks but Xherdan Shaqiri (calf) remains sidelined. Goalkeeper Alisson is set to resume training on Sunday after seven weeks out.

Did you know?

Bramall Lane is one of only three grounds Liverpool have played at without winning in the Premier League (three matches), along with Nottingham Forest's City Ground (five matches) and Blackpool's Bloomfield Road (one match).

All seven of Sheffield United's PL goals this season have been scored by different players. This includes two own goals, the joint-highest tally in favour of a team alongside Liverpool.

Since the start of 2014/15, Chris Wilder has won more English league games and earned more points than any other manager in the top four tiers, with 125 and 426 respectively.

Liverpool have won their last 12 PL matches against promoted sides, scoring 35 times and conceding only four goals. The last team to have a longer such winning run was Spurs, with 16 wins between 2015 and 2018.
