2003: Newcastle United 3-0 Manchester City

Two late Alan Shearer goals took his Premier League tally to 255 in Newcastle United's 3-0 win over Manchester City.

Shearer's double, including a trademark header, finished City off in the final 15 minutes and lifted Newcastle above their opponents in the table.

Shola Ameobi's third goal in five league matches put the home side ahead 12 minutes into the second half when he converted Laurent Robert's cross.

Newcastle moved up to seventh on 19 points, three points outside of the top four, while City were eighth on 18 points.

2014: Arsenal 1-2 Manchester United

Louis van Gaal achieved his first away league win as Manchester United manager with a 2-1 success at Arsenal. 

An own-goal by Kieran Gibbs put United ahead when he turned in Antonio Valencia's cross on 56 minutes.

Wayne Rooney sealed victory for the visitors with his side's first shot on target with five minutes remaining as he sprinted clear to score. 

Substitute Olivier Giroud's fierce strike in stoppage time proved a mere consolation for Arsenal.

The result moved United up to fourth on 19 points, 13 points behind league leaders Chelsea. Defeat for Arsenal dropped them down to eighth on 17 points.
