Liverpool are looking to preserve their Premier League lead and stay unbeaten at home this season, while Tottenham Hotspur are seeking their first win in five and remain ahead of fourth-placed Arsenal.

Team news

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Xherdan Shaqiri have resumed full training for Liverpool after withdrawing from their respective national team squads with England and Switzerland due to fitness issues.

Spurs could be without right-back Serge Aurier (hamstring) and Eric Dier (hip flexor) this weekend. Harry Winks (groin) remains sidelined.

Did you know?

Liverpool have lost only one of their last 24 home Premier League matches against Spurs, a 0-2 defeat in May 2011 under Kenny Dalglish. They have won 15 of those meetings.

The Reds are unbeaten in their last 36 home PL matches. If they avoid defeat here, it will be the joint-second longest unbeaten home run in the competition’s history. Chelsea went 86 without defeat between 2004 and 2008 while Manchester City managed 37 from 2010-2012.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has been involved in four goals in four Premier League appearances against Liverpool at Anfield, scoring three and assisting one.

No player has scored more Premier League goals in 2019 than Liverpool’s Sadio Mane. The Senegalese star’s nine goals, which is level with Man City's Sergio Aguero, have come in his last nine matches.
