Manager Bio

Leon Britton was the caretaker manager of Swansea City following the departure of Paul Clement in December 2017.

Apart from the first half of the 2010/11 season when the midfielder played for Sheffield United, Britton has been with the Swans since joining on loan from West Ham United in December 2002.

The Englishman won the club's player of the season award and signed permanently ahead of the 2003/04 campaign, going on to amass over 500 appearances for the club.

Britton is still on the playing books at Swansea, making his last Premier League appearance in October 2017, and in November he was announced as an assistant coach to Clement.

After Clement parted ways with the Welsh club, Britton was named as caretaker manager, taking charge of two matches before Carlos Carvalhal was named as a permanent successor.
